Access Control Installation · NC & Southeast

Secure entry that works the way your facility operates.

Access control is about more than locking doors. It's about giving the right people access to the right spaces — and giving facility managers the visibility and control to manage that access long-term without constant intervention.

TCSS installs commercial access control infrastructure as a low-voltage subcontractor working alongside general contractors on new construction and renovation projects across NC and the Southeast. Our scope is the physical infrastructure — readers, controllers, door hardware interface, cabling, pathways, and supporting systems — installed clean, coordinated with other trades, and ready for programming by the access control vendor.

We work with all major access control platforms and coordinate directly with the end-user's system vendor to make sure our rough-in and device placement is right before the walls are closed. No rework. No surprises at turnover.

How We Work

Infrastructure installed right,
ready for any platform.

Coordinated with Door Hardware

Access control is one of the most coordination-intensive systems on a construction project — it involves the door hardware supplier, the access control vendor, the electrical sub, and the GC all needing to align before rough-in. TCSS manages our scope with all of those parties, flagging conflicts early and making sure our device placement, conduit sizing, and power requirements match what the door hardware and system vendor need.

Platform-Agnostic Installation

TCSS installs the physical infrastructure — not the software or programming. This means we work with whatever access control platform the building owner or IT team has chosen: Lenel, Genetec, Honeywell Pro-Watch, Avigilon, Bosch, Brivo, or any other commercial-grade system. We install to the system vendor's specs and hand off a properly installed, labeled, and documented infrastructure package ready for programming.

Built for Long-Term Serviceability

Access control systems get added to, modified, and serviced for decades. TCSS installs with that in mind — controller panels are labeled clearly, cable runs are documented, conduit is properly sized for future wire pulls, and junction boxes are accessible. When the facility manager needs to add a door or change a credential three years from now, the infrastructure supports it cleanly.

System Components

Everything that makes up a commercial access control system.

TCSS installs all of the physical components of a commercial access control system — coordinated with your door hardware supplier and access control vendor.

For General Contractors

Access control scope on a construction project requires tight coordination between trades. TCSS reviews the security drawings, attends coordination meetings, and works directly with your door hardware sub and the owner's access control vendor — so the low-voltage scope doesn't hold up your schedule or cause rework at door frame installation.
